Yep, she’s a card-carrying member of the Beyhive.
Just a couple of weeks out from her epic SNL40 appearance, in which she brought her ***FLAWLESS Beyoncé impression back to NBC, Maya Rudolph spoke to Cosmopolitan.com about Queen B.
“It’s an insane honor that humankind allows me to dress like her and do her,” Rudolph told us at a taping of Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars in New York. “I’m so thrilled to be associated even with her name. I feel like I don’t even do it any justice.”
Being a classy member of the Beyhive — and an all-around empowering woman — she refused to comment on any of the insults recently lobbed at Beyoncé by a couple of white male rockers. “I only want to answer nice questions,” she said. “I don’t pay attention to things people say that are negative … And because she’s a lady, and such a fucking talented lady, I’m just all about promoting. And she’s a mommy.”
Rudolph, who has met the Queen, confirms the obvious: “She’s incredible. And she’s one of those people that you just aspire to be in life, even when you’re a grown-up. You’re just like, How do I be more like that? She’s a lovely human being.”
That sound you hear is bees buzzing. They will not be silenced.
